DocsAcceptable Use Policy

BotSubscription's Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") covers the Platform provided by BotSubscription, including: the websites at botsubscription.com and docs.botsubscription.com, our Telegram and Discord bots, the web dashboard, hosted checkout pages, APIs, webhooks, and any related services. It is designed to protect us, our customers, and the general Internet community from unethical, irresponsible, and illegal activity.

This AUP is incorporated into and governed by the Terms of Service. If there is a conflict, the Terms of Service control. This AUP may impose additional restrictions on use.

BotSubscription customers found engaging in activities prohibited by this AUP can be liable for service suspension and account termination. We may comply with lawful requests from authorities and fulfill legal reporting obligations where required.

1. Fair Use

We provide our facilities with the assumption your use will be "business as usual," as per our offer schedule. If your use is considered to be excessive, we may throttle capacity, restrict access to certain features, or require an upgrade to a higher tier. Any additional fees will only apply as described in our published pricing or as mutually agreed in writing.

We are opposed to all forms of abuse, discrimination, rights infringement, and/or any action that harms or disadvantages any group, individual, or resource. We expect our customers and, where applicable, their users ("Subscribers" or "end-users") to likewise engage our Platform with similar intent.

2. Customer Accountability

We regard our customers as being responsible for their own actions as well as for the actions of anyone using our Platform with the customer's permission. This responsibility also applies to anyone using our Platform on an unauthorized basis as a result of the customer's failure to put in place reasonable security measures.

By accepting services from us, our customers agree to ensure adherence to this policy on behalf of anyone using the Platform as their end users. Complaints regarding the actions of customers or their end-users will be forwarded to the nominated contact for the account in question.

AI-generated content: You are solely responsible for all content transmitted by your bot, including automated or AI-generated responses. This applies whether you use third-party AI services (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) or BotSubscription's built-in AI features. You control the behavior of these systems through your configuration, and you remain fully liable for any outputs they produce—including harmful, defamatory, misleading, or illegal content. See the "User-Generated Content" section of our Terms of Service for details.

If a customer—or their end-user or anyone using our Platform as a result of the customer—violates this AUP, we reserve the right to terminate any services associated with the offending account or the account itself or take any remedial or preventative action we deem appropriate, without notice where urgency requires. To the extent permitted by law, no credit will be available for interruptions of service resulting from any violation of this AUP.

3. Prohibited Activity

3.1. Intellectual Property Infringement

Our Platform must not be used to transmit, distribute, or store any material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right without proper authorization. You are solely responsible for all material you input, upload, disseminate, transmit, create, or publish through the Platform, and for obtaining legal permission to use any works included in such material.

3.2. Illegal and Harmful Content

Our Platform must not be used to transmit, distribute, or store:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or non-consensual sexual content (including AI-generated "deepfakes")
  • Content that is unlawfully defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws
  • Content that infringes third-party rights or violates applicable platform policies
  • Any other material in violation of applicable law

3.3. Spam and Unauthorized Messaging Activity

Our Platform must not be used for the purpose of sending unsolicited bulk or commercial messages in violation of the laws and regulations applicable to your jurisdiction ("spam"). This includes but isn't limited to sending spam, soliciting customers from spam sent from other service providers, and collecting replies to spam sent from other service providers.

Platform-specific messaging rules:

  • Discord DMs (limited capability): BotSubscription does not enable general-purpose Discord DM or broadcast functionality as a default product feature. If Discord DMs are supported for a customer's bot (where permitted by Discord and allowed by the recipient's privacy settings), those DMs must be strictly functional and transactional, triggered by a user-initiated opt-in (e.g., command, button, or authorization flow), and directly related to the bot's operation (e.g., access instructions, subscription confirmations). DMs may fail due to recipient settings; you must not attempt to circumvent these restrictions. Promotional, marketing, or unrelated DMs are prohibited.
  • Telegram messages: Telegram bots must comply with Telegram's bot messaging rules. In general, bots may only message users who have started or otherwise interacted with the bot, except where Telegram explicitly permits messaging in specific flows (e.g., join-request-related messaging). You must provide an in-bot opt-out mechanism (e.g., /stop command) and promptly stop messaging users who opt out, block the bot, or where delivery fails.
  • Server/channel announcements: You may not use the Platform's broadcasting or announcement features to send unsolicited commercial messages, promote unrelated services, or contact users who have not opted in to receive such communications.
  • Group/channel additions: You may not add users to Telegram groups/channels or Discord servers without their explicit permission (including completing any platform-required prompts or authorization flows).
  • Purchased or scraped lists: You may not use lists of Telegram user IDs, Discord user IDs, email addresses, or other contact information purchased from third parties or scraped from platforms for messaging purposes.

Opt-in and consent: Users who voluntarily join your Telegram or Discord community via invite links or public discovery can reasonably expect to receive messages necessary to operate that community and deliver the purchased service (e.g., access instructions, subscription confirmations, service announcements). This does not extend to promotional DMs, off-platform contact, or unrelated marketing.

Respect opt-outs and blocks: You must honor opt-outs and immediately stop messaging users who block the bot, revoke permissions, or request to stop receiving messages. Failure to honor opt-outs or blocks is a material violation of this AUP.

This spam and unauthorized messaging policy applies to messages sent using our Platform, or to messages sent from any network by the customer or any person on the customer's behalf, that directly or indirectly refer the recipient to a service, checkout page, or community powered by our Platform.

3.4. Unethical, Exploitative, and Malicious Activity

Our Platform must not be used for the purpose of advertising, transmitting, or otherwise making available any software, program, product, or service designed to violate this AUP, or the acceptable use policy of other service providers. This includes but isn't limited to facilitating the means to send spam and the initiation of network sniffing, pinging, packet spoofing, flooding, mail-bombing, and denial-of-service attacks.

Our Platform must not be used to access any account or electronic resource where the group or individual attempting to gain access does not own or is not authorized to access the resource (e.g., "hacking," "cracking," "phreaking," credential stuffing, etc.).

Our Platform must not be used for the purpose of intentionally or recklessly introducing viruses or malicious code into our Platform and systems.

Our Platform must not be used for purposely engaging in activities designed to harass another group or individual. Our definition of harassment includes but is not limited to denial-of-service attacks, hate-speech, advocacy of racial or ethnic intolerance, and any activity intended to threaten, abuse, infringe upon the rights of, or discriminate against any group or individual.

Other activities considered unethical, exploitative, and malicious include:

  • Obtaining (or attempting to obtain) services from us with the intent to avoid payment
  • Using our facilities to obtain (or attempt to obtain) services from another provider with the intent to avoid payment
  • The unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction (or any attempt thereof) of any information about our customers or end-users, by any means or device
  • Using our facilities to interfere with the use of our facilities and network by other customers or authorized individuals
  • Publishing or transmitting any content or links that incite violence, depict a violent act, depict child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or threaten anyone's health and safety
  • Using the Platform to carry out unfair or deceptive practices toward Subscribers (e.g., bait-and-switch, hidden auto-renewals, false merchant identity on checkout pages, misleading pricing)
  • Any violation of a person's privacy

3.5. API, Automation, and Technical Abuse

You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or access the dashboard, hosted checkout pages, or any part of the Platform through undocumented means
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent rate limits published in our API Rate Limits documentation
  • Abuse webhooks (e.g., replaying events maliciously, flooding endpoints)
  • Engage in credential stuffing or automated login attempts
  • Create multiple accounts through automated means
  • Use "self-bot" behavior or automation that violates third-party platform policies (e.g., Discord's prohibition on self-bots)
  • Take any action that imposes or may impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our servers or network infrastructure
  • Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, or security assessments of the Platform without our prior written permission, except as expressly permitted under our vulnerability disclosure program (if offered)

Security vulnerability disclosure: If you discover a security vulnerability, do not publicly disclose it. Instead, report it to admin@botsubscription.com with the subject line "Security Vulnerability Report." We will make commercially reasonable efforts to respond and acknowledge valid reports. Responsible disclosure is welcomed and will not be treated as a policy violation.

3.6. Third-Party Platform Policy Violations

You may not use the Platform to violate or enable violations of the terms, community guidelines, or developer policies of third-party platforms, including but not limited to:

Third-party policies change over time; you must comply with the versions in effect at the time of use.

The "intersection of permissions" rule applies: If either your hosting platform (Telegram/Discord) or your payment processor prohibits your content or activity, you are prohibited from using BotSubscription for that purpose.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Using API data from Telegram or Discord for machine learning or AI model training without explicit platform permission
  • Enabling illegal gambling or age-restricted services without proper verification
  • Scraping, data-mining, harvesting, selling, or transferring end-user data from integrated platforms
  • Any activity that could jeopardize BotSubscription's API access with third-party platforms

3.7. Financial Crime and Sanctions

Our Platform may not be used by any person or entity involved with, or that we reasonably believe (based on credible evidence or risk signals) to be involved in:

  • Money laundering or terrorist financing
  • Sanctions evasion: Facilitating transactions with comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions (e.g., those on U.S. OFAC, EU, or UN sanctions lists) or blocked persons (Specially Designated Nationals, etc.)
  • Illegal gambling: Operating unlicensed gambling or betting services
  • Unlicensed financial services: Operating money transmission, payment services, or banking services where a license is required
  • Regulatory circumvention: Using the Platform to circumvent legal obligations that apply to you—for example, if your jurisdiction requires you to perform KYC (Know Your Customer) on your customers, you may not use the Platform to avoid that obligation
  • Arms trafficking or the proliferation, development, design, manufacture, production, stockpiling, or use of nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons, weapons of mass destruction, or missiles
  • Narcotics trafficking
  • Any affiliation with others who support the above activities

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction and will not knowingly facilitate transactions with sanctioned jurisdictions or blocked persons. The availability of low-KYC or no-KYC payment options on the Platform does not exempt you from regulatory obligations in your jurisdiction.

3.8. Age-Restricted and High-Risk Content

If you sell age-restricted content (including adult/NSFW, gambling, or other age-gated material), you must:

  • Maintain a mechanism to verify the age of your Subscribers in compliance with applicable laws
  • Comply with all platform requirements for age-restricted content (e.g., Discord's Community Guidelines, age-restricted channel requirements, and any additional restrictions under Discord's monetization policies)
  • Use a payment processor that explicitly permits your content category

Failure to properly age-gate content is a violation of this AUP.

3.9. Sensitive Data Collection

You may not use the Platform to collect sensitive personal data via custom fields, forms, or any other mechanism without lawful basis and appropriate security safeguards. Sensitive data includes but is not limited to:

  • Government-issued identification numbers (SSN, passport numbers, etc.)
  • Medical or health information
  • Financial account credentials
  • Biometric data

You may not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) through the Platform.

3.10. Unauthorized Use of BotSubscription Property

We prohibit the impersonation of BotSubscription, the representation of a significant business relationship with BotSubscription, or ownership of any BotSubscription property (including our Platform and brand) for the purpose of fraudulently gaining service, custom, patronage, or user trust.

3.11. Merchant Impersonation and Fraud

You may not:

  • Impersonate another merchant or business on hosted checkout pages
  • Use false or misleading merchant identity information
  • Sell stolen goods, counterfeit items, or goods obtained through fraud
  • Operate checkout pages for goods or services you do not intend to deliver
  • Engage in phishing or social engineering via bots, checkout pages, or any Platform feature

3.12. Cryptocurrency and Investment Fraud

Because the Platform supports cryptocurrency payments and is commonly used in Telegram/Discord communities where crypto scams are prevalent, the following are explicitly prohibited:

  • Rug pulls: Creating tokens, NFT projects, or investment schemes with the intent to abandon the project and abscond with investor funds
  • Pump-and-dump schemes: Artificially inflating the price of tokens or assets through coordinated promotion, then selling
  • Fake airdrops: Promoting fraudulent token distributions to harvest wallet credentials, seed phrases, or personal information
  • Fake token/NFT sales: Selling tokens, NFTs, or digital assets you do not own or that do not exist
  • Ponzi or pyramid schemes: Operating investment schemes that pay returns to earlier investors using funds from newer investors
  • Fraudulent trading signals or "alpha" groups: Selling access to investment advice or signals with fabricated performance claims

This list is non-exhaustive. Any scheme designed to defraud Subscribers of cryptocurrency, fiat currency, or other assets is prohibited.

If you sell financial or investment-related content (e.g., trading signals, market analysis, "alpha" groups), you must not make false or unsubstantiated performance claims, and you must clearly disclose that your content does not constitute professional financial advice where required by applicable law.

3.13. Illegal Goods, Services, and Doxxing

You may not use the Platform to sell, facilitate, or promote:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Firearms, weapons, or ammunition where prohibited by law, platform policy, or payment processor policy
  • Forged or fraudulent documents (fake IDs, diplomas, certifications, etc.)
  • Stolen data or credentials (account logins, credit card numbers, personal data dumps)
  • Doxxing or harassment materials: Publishing or threatening to publish private information (addresses, phone numbers, employer details, family information) to harass, intimidate, or endanger individuals
  • Extortion or blackmail: Threatening to release information, content, or take action unless payment is made
  • Human trafficking or exploitation services
  • Regulated goods or services without required licenses or authorizations (e.g., pharmaceuticals, supplements, tobacco/vaping products, alcohol) where applicable law requires licensing or age verification

This list is non-exhaustive. Any activity recognized as illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction of your Subscribers is prohibited.

3.14. Fee Evasion and Ban Circumvention

You may not:

  • Create multiple BotSubscription accounts for the purpose of splitting revenue to evade platform fees, bypass Free Tier limits, or manipulate pricing tiers ("smurfing")
  • Create new accounts to circumvent a previous account termination or suspension
  • Assist others in evading fees or circumventing bans

If we reasonably determine that multiple accounts are controlled by the same entity for fee evasion purposes, we reserve the right to aggregate revenue across all accounts for billing purposes.

4. Enforcement and Hosted Content

For content hosted on BotSubscription infrastructure (e.g., checkout page text, images, and descriptions), we may remove or disable access upon receiving notice of illegality or policy violations. Where required by applicable law (including the Digital Services Act), we will provide a statement of reasons and information about appeal options in accordance with our Terms of Service.

We do not proactively monitor all content but will act on valid reports. To report illegal or policy-violating content, see the "Illegal Content & DSA Notices" section of our Terms of Service.

Enforcement approach: Where practical, we may request remediation before suspending or terminating access. However, we may act immediately without prior notice where there is urgent legal, security, or fraud risk. If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal by emailing admin@botsubscription.com with the subject line "AUP Appeal." See the Terms of Service for the full appeals process.

5. About This Policy

This policy outlines a non-exclusive list of activities and intent we deem unacceptable and incompatible with our brand.

We update this policy in accordance with the "Changes to Terms" and "Notices" sections of the Terms of Service. Material changes take effect no sooner than the notice period stated there (14 days for material changes). Non-material changes take effect immediately upon posting.

Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
